   A primeira oração é um modelo: reze-a também com as suas palavras. Depois, como Jesus fazia, reze um salmo — aqui o Salmo 5, mas pode ser outro da sua preferência.

   Consagração ao Pai modelo — reze também com as suas palavras

   Pai amado, como é maravilhoso Te conhecer e ser teu. Eu Te adoro e Te dou graças pela minha vida, porque Tu és o meu único Deus, o meu Criador. Obrigado porque posso enxergar, ouvir, falar, andar, respirar, viver. Obrigado pela minha família, pela minha casa, pela comida que como a cada dia, pela roupa que posso vestir, por toda a dignidade que o Senhor me dá.

   Quero me entregar e me oferecer todo a Ti neste dia. Eu me consagro a Ti, Deus Pai, e Te ofereço os meus pensamentos, os meus sentimentos, a minha razão, a minha fé, as minhas emoções, os meus sentidos, tudo o que sou e tudo o que tenho. Molda-me, Pai, e arranca de mim tudo o que não Te agrada. Enche o meu coração com o teu amor e ensina-me a Te amar. Ajuda-me a amar todos os que estão ao meu redor e faz de mim uma pessoa melhor, para que eu faça a diferença no mundo, porque estou contigo. Faz de mim o que Tu quiseres, Pai.

   Salmo 5

   Senhor, ouvi as minhas palavras, escutai os meus gemidos. Atendei a voz da minha prece, ó meu Rei, ó meu Deus. É a vós que eu invoco, Senhor, desde a manhã. Escutai a minha voz, porque desde o raiar do dia vos apresento a minha súplica e espero.

   Pois vós não sois um Deus a quem agrade o mal; o mau não poderia morar junto de vós, os ímpios não podem resistir ao vosso olhar. Detestais todos os que praticam o mal, fazeis perecer aqueles que mentem; o homem cruel e doloso vos é abominável, ó Senhor.

   Mas eu, graças à vossa grande bondade, entrarei em vossa casa. Irei prostrar-me em vosso santuário, com o respeito que vos é devido, Senhor. Conduzi-me pelas sendas da justiça; por causa dos meus inimigos, aplainai para mim o vosso caminho.

   Porque em seus lábios não há sinceridade, seus corações só urdem projetos ardilosos. A garganta deles é como um sepulcro escancarado, com a língua distribuem lisonjas. Deixai-os, Senhor, prenderem-se nos seus erros, que suas maquinações malogrem! Por causa do número de seus crimes, rejeitai-os, pois é contra vós que se revoltaram.

   Regozijem-se, pelo contrário, os que em vós confiam, permaneçam para sempre na alegria. Protegei-os, e triunfarão em vós os que amam o vosso nome. Pois vós, Senhor, abençoais o justo; a vossa benevolência, como um escudo, o cobrirá. Amém.

   Oração da manhã

   Pai Santo, amado e querido, no silêncio deste dia que amanhece, venho pedir-Te forças, sabedoria, paz. Quero olhar hoje o mundo com olhos cheios de amor; quero ser paciente, compreensivo, justo, equilibrado; quero ver, além das aparências, os teus filhos como Tu os vês, e assim só ver o bem em cada um. Cerra os meus ouvidos a toda calúnia, guarda a minha língua de toda maldade. Que só de concórdia viva o meu espírito. Seja eu tão bom e alegre que todos quantos se achegarem a mim sintam a tua presença. Reveste-me interiormente da tua beleza, Senhor, e no decurso deste dia que eu Te revele a todos.

   O propósito do dia

   Querido e adorável Jesus, divino modelo de perfeição a quem devemos aspirar, vou empenhar-me em tornar-me, o quanto possível, semelhante a Ti: doce, humilde, casto, paciente, caridoso, resignado. Em particular, farei todos os esforços para jamais cair nas faltas que tantas vezes tenho cometido e de que desejo sinceramente corrigir-me.

   Ato de confiança

   Reaviva no meu coração a confiança, dá-me o dom da fé, de crer mesmo sem ver, pois acredito que Tu, Senhor, tens o melhor para mim e que estás sempre comigo, me protegendo e me guiando.

   Salmo 90

   Tu que habitas sob a proteção do Altíssimo, que moras à sombra do Onipotente, dize ao Senhor: Sois meu refúgio e minha cidadela, meu Deus, em quem eu confio. É ele quem te livrará do laço do caçador e da peste perniciosa. Ele te cobrirá com suas plumas, sob suas asas encontrarás refúgio. Sua fidelidade te será um escudo de proteção.

   Tu não temerás os terrores noturnos, nem a flecha que voa à luz do dia, nem a peste que se propaga nas trevas, nem o mal que grassa ao meio-dia. Caiam mil homens à tua esquerda e dez mil à tua direita: tu não serás atingido. Porém, verás com teus próprios olhos, contemplarás o castigo dos pecadores, porque o Senhor é teu refúgio. Escolheste por asilo o Altíssimo.

   Nenhum mal te atingirá, nenhum flagelo chegará à tua tenda, porque aos seus anjos ele mandou que te guardem em todos os teus caminhos. Eles te sustentarão em suas mãos, para que não tropeces em alguma pedra. Sobre serpente e víbora andarás, calcarás aos pés o leão e o dragão.

   Pois que se uniu a mim, eu o livrarei, e o protegerei, pois conhece o meu nome. Quando me invocar, eu o atenderei; na tribulação estarei com ele. Hei de livrá-lo e o cobrirei de glória. Será favorecido de longos dias, e eu lhe mostrarei a minha salvação. Amém.

   O salmo é o 62. Se reza assim, abra-se ao Espírito Santo e deixe que Ele interceda em você com gemidos inefáveis (Rm 8,26). Não ponha tempo nem barreiras: reze com intensidade, com suavidade, e deixe fluir o amor de Deus.

   Ó doce Espírito de Deus, eu Te adoro e Te louvo com todo o meu espírito.    Porque vossa graça me é mais preciosa do que a vida, meus lábios entoarão vossos louvores. Assim vos bendirei em toda a minha vida, com minhas mãos erguidas vosso nome adorarei. Minha alma saciada como de fino manjar, com exultante alegria meus lábios vos louvarão.

   Quando, no leito, me vem vossa lembrança, passo a noite toda pensando em vós. Porque vós sois o meu apoio, exulto de alegria à sombra de vossas asas. Minha alma está unida a vós, sustenta-me a vossa destra.

   Consagração a Nossa Senhora modelo — reze também com as suas palavras

   Virgem Santa e maravilhosa, Mãe de Deus e da Igreja; a Senhora, que, sendo tão pequena e simples, foi em sua vida Filha do Pai, Mãe do Filho e Esposa do Espírito Santo. É para a Senhora, que foi toda da Santíssima Trindade, plena em todas as áreas da sua vida, e fez a vontade de Deus sem voltar atrás por nada, que eu dirijo a minha consagração. Ofereço-lhe todo o meu ser e tudo o que sou.

   Cubra-me com o seu manto sagrado, proteja-me das ciladas de Satanás. Quero permanecer firme nos caminhos do Senhor. Proteja-me e guarde-me dentro do seu Coração Imaculado, moldando-me para que eu viva a santidade. Quero ser como a Senhora, todo de Deus. Ensine-me a dizer o seu sim e a cantar, louvar, adorar e glorificar a Deus, na alegria e na tristeza, na glória e na dificuldade. Ensine-me a ser um adorador.

   Obrigado por ser minha mãe e me ajudar no caminho de Deus. Revista-me com a sua pureza e ensine-me a viver na castidade, na oração, e a permanecer de pé diante da cruz como a Senhora, Maria, Mãe da Obediência, permaneceu.

7. VIIA armadura de DeusEfésios 6,10-20, para fechar

   Para fechar a consagração, revestimo-nos da armadura de Deus e não deixamos brechas ao mal: permanecemos consagrados e revestidos da graça do Senhor.

   Efésios 6,10-20

   Finalmente, irmãos, fortalecei-vos no Senhor, pelo seu soberano poder. Revesti-vos da armadura de Deus, para que possais resistir às ciladas do demônio. Pois não é contra homens de carne e sangue que temos de lutar, mas contra os principados e potestades, contra os príncipes deste mundo tenebroso, contra as forças espirituais do mal espalhadas nos ares.

   Tomai, portanto, a armadura de Deus, para que possais resistir nos dias maus e manter-vos inabaláveis no cumprimento do vosso dever. Ficai alerta, à cintura cingidos com a verdade, o corpo vestido com a couraça da justiça, e os pés calçados de prontidão para anunciar o Evangelho da paz. Sobretudo, embraçai o escudo da fé, com que possais apagar todos os dardos inflamados do Maligno. Tomai, enfim, o capacete da salvação e a espada do Espírito, isto é, a palavra de Deus.

   Intensificai as vossas invocações e súplicas. Orai em toda circunstância, pelo Espírito, no qual perseverai em intensa vigília de súplica por todos os cristãos. E orai também por mim, para que me seja dado anunciar corajosamente o mistério do Evangelho, do qual eu sou embaixador, prisioneiro; e que eu saiba apregoá-lo publicamente, e com desassombro, como é meu dever. Amém.

   Beloved Father, how wonderful it is to know You and to be Yours. I adore You and thank You for my life, because You are my only God, my Creator. Thank You that I can see, hear, speak, walk, breathe and live. Thank You for my family, my home, the food I eat each day, the clothes I can wear, and all the dignity You give me.

   I want to give and offer myself wholly to You this day. I consecrate myself to You, God the Father, and I offer You my thoughts, my feelings, my reason, my faith, my emotions, my senses, all that I am and all that I have. Mould me, Father, and take out of me everything that does not please You. Fill my heart with Your love and teach me to love You. Help me to love everyone around me and make me a better person, so that I may make a difference in the world, because I am with You. Do with me whatever You will, Father.

   Psalm 5

   The second prayer is one that monks pray every morning; the psalm is Psalm 90 (91). You can put together your own as well.

   Dear and beloved Jesus, You are the Lord of lords. I adore You and thank You for dying on the cross in my place and washing away my sins with Your blood. I glorify and exalt You for Your infinite love, Jesus, and for healing me of every sickness and infirmity by Your wounds. Thank You so much, Jesus!

   Pour Your blood over me and forgive me, Lord. Pour Your blood over me and over my home, my family, my friends, my neighbours, my community. I consecrate myself to Your Most Precious Blood, Jesus, and I ask You to set me free, save me and strengthen me to live in Your presence. I consecrate myself to Your Heart. I consecrate myself and place myself within Your wounds. Hold me up with Your hands, O dear Christ, my friend.

   I give You praise for welcoming me and giving me the grace to belong to You. I was bought by Your blood, and my joy is to serve You. Thank You, Jesus, for offering Yourself at the Last Supper as true food and true drink, for instituting the Mass, the priesthood and the Most Blessed Sacrament, which is You Yourself, Jesus, my Perpetual Light! Thank You for giving me Your Mother as my mother, at the foot of the cross. Make me all Yours, Lord.

   The resolution of the day

   Dear and adorable Jesus, divine model of the perfection to which we must aspire, I will strive to become, as far as I can, like You: gentle, humble, chaste, patient, charitable, resigned. In particular, I will make every effort never again to fall into the faults I have so often committed and of which I sincerely wish to correct myself.

   Lamb of God

   Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.

   Act of trust

3. IIITo the Holy SpiritA consecration, the Come, Holy Spirit and a psalm

   The psalm is Psalm 62 (63). As you pray, open yourself to the Holy Spirit and let Him intercede in you with sighs too deep for words (Rom 8:26). Set no time and no barriers: pray with intensity, with gentleness, and let the love of God flow.

   O sweet Spirit of God, I adore You and praise You with all my spirit. I thank You because You are my Advocate, my Comforter, my Helper, the One who gives me strength, restores my soul, sanctifies my heart and fills me with Your gifts and charisms. Act powerfully in my life, Holy Spirit. I give You full freedom and I consecrate myself to You.

   Consecrated to You, I want to let myself be led by Your action, O Love of the Father and the Son. Fill my life and lead my day; inspire me to live in holiness. Rekindle every charism in my heart; make Your gifts flourish in my daily life. I am open to Your moving and Your power. Touch my life, Spirit of God.

   I ask for the grace that, as I give myself to You, You may make of me an offering pleasing to the Father and to Jesus. Anoint me with Your fragrant oil. Burn me with Your consuming fire. Wash me with Your living water. Send me to do Your will, and carry me into deeper waters with Your mighty wind. I want Your action in its fullness in my life, because I need You, O Sanctifying Power. Revive my heart and come powerfully upon my life. Alleluia!

   Come, Holy Spirit,
   fill the hearts of thy faithful
   and enkindle in them the fire of thy love.

It is to you — who belonged wholly to the Most Holy Trinity, who were full in every part of your life and did the will of God without ever turning back — that I direct my consecration. I offer you my whole being and all that I am.

   Cover me with your holy mantle; protect me from the snares of Satan. I want to remain steadfast in the ways of the Lord. Protect me and keep me within your Immaculate Heart, shaping me so that I may live in holiness. I want to be like you, wholly God's. Teach me to say your yes, and to sing, praise, adore and glorify God, in joy and in sorrow, in glory and in hardship. Teach me to be a worshipper.

Grant that, through your Immaculate and Motherly Heart, we may be healed of every spiritual sickness.    Great archangel of God, I want to consecrate myself to you. You who are the protector of the Church of God, protector of the sacraments and prince of the angels of the Lord, help me this day. Deliver me from every path of sin and from every snare of the devil, and teach me to cry out as you do: WHO IS LIKE GOD?

   Come, Saint Michael, with the Archangel Raphael, the Archangel Gabriel and the whole heavenly host, and teach me to serve God with reverence, love and dedication.    To close the consecration, we put on the armour of God and leave no gap for evil: we remain consecrated and clothed in the grace of the Lord.

   Ephesians 6:10-20

   Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power. Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places.

   Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: in all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one.
